Familiar faces

I've been drawing this silly dog character for a few years now as the rare companion to Tippy, but he's never been given a name.

For now, he's Frankie The Frankfurter, but that's subject to change. I really like the various browns I picked for him alongside that big red nose - it looks as though he'd taste like gingerbread.

Onda's made a new friend named Offdo, but she's not sure if she's willing to share her pool with him just yet.

Garden scene

The idea for this drawing came to me as I was running this afternoon.

There are always loads of butterflies and bees all over the track, and it makes me wonder what they're up to as I pass them by.

Dragon kitty

I wanted to draw a dragon, but then decided I wanted to draw a cat instead.

I combined the ideas and got this fun hybrid. Inked and digitally coloured.

Scanner hiatus

I never realized how nice and useful having a scanner was until I didn't have the one at school anymore.

I've spent the last month or so turning my attic into a place where I can get down to work like I used to in my little neck of the wood in Manhattan - and, I must say, it's looking pretty dang nice.

I've set up my iMac, the scanner of my dreams, a drafting table and a wonderful chair - and today it's all put together, muchly with the help of my dear ol' dad.

For the first time sitting down at this new drafting table, I've created a new character. I don't know where she came from, but she's a a fluffy white ball named Onda.
